Use of power to move us slow or fast
has been taught with harmful techniques. As a result extra tension places limits on our performance and adversely affects
our health, fitness and sports performance. The tension caused by opposing muscles (antagonists), cuts off circulation, restricts
breathing and causes injuries. Antagonist muscles do not create movement. They are required to relax while the muscles doing
the movement move the body. Gravity plays a major role in the power we can produce for movement. It is the only forward power
for transporting us from spot to spot at all speeds from walking to sprinting. In all other movements for sports and exercise
gravity assists us by anchoring our body against an immovable platform (the ground) to push off of with the maximum force.
